Gransfors Bruks Splitting Hatchet
This was my go-to tool for making kindling.
Gransfors' Splitting Hatchet, with 3.3 lb. head, 2-1/2 inch face & 19 inch textured hickory handle, is ideal for splitting kindling & smallish stove wood. It can be used one-handed or two-handed. A steel sheath beneath the head reinforces the handle against impact with the wood.
Used but in good condition. There is a very small chip out of the top corner of the splitting edge.
The leather sheath is missing a couple of rivets - tried splitting some kindling on a cold morning before I had my coffee...
