Let's try this again.First answer went into outer space!Casey I have a Maxx grinder. The wheels are made in Italy.I have sharpened about 40 chains and there is no wear.I watch the bar oil on the chain, starts to bubble, lift the wheel! This way you don't get blue teeth. The bigger the bite you take the faster the wheel will wear.I'm never in a hurry. If the chain is dirty after cutting, and sharpening,I spray with oven cleaner and let it soak.I hit it with a brush(nylon)and wash off.
When ordering wheels watch your diameter. They come in diffent sizes. Some are just 1/8th of an inch larger.Won't fit!

Be careful if you go looking for "diamond". Most sold as "diamond" are in fact Borazon (CBN); these are prefectly good, not as good as diamond, but the lack of distinction in the marketplace makes price comparison iffy at best.

I use a high quality borazon wheel, and have touched up carbide with it now and then, but it's not recommended.

I use the ABN Cyclone wheels from Bailey's on my Maxx.
Pricey, but they cut quick and cool.

I also first soak my chains overnight in a heated parts washer to clean them. After sharpening they're soaked overnight in winter weight Stihl bar oil and then hung up over a pan to drain.
