I have to grind several white pine stumps for new tree planting , I own a Vermeer 222/252 have grounded stumps deep before but never measured then , but the nusrsery wants them 16-24 below grade , looked up specs and 13 inches deep and looked at larger grinders which is still only 15 inches deep , what do you think ?

Thanks for any help

Pines have shallow roots as a rule of thumb. Grind it down to a full 13" and call it good. They will never be able to tell the difference.
In fact, 10" or 12" will get all the stump and roots anyway.

I don't know about white pines, the pines we have in Texas go half way to China. If they want 16-24" below natural grade, that is a job for a track hoe, not a grinder.
