Cascade Tree Service, LLC. is searching for a part time and a full time experienced Arborist Ground person in King, Pierce Thurston and Snohomish Counties.
The ideal candidates will have experience in the tree care industry.
Responsibilities:
· Performs all required ground duties in support of specific job assignment.
· Utilizes ALL personal protection equipment (PPE).
· Assist with the implementation of work zone safety procedures such as but not limited to the placement of cones and signs, and provision of flagging services.
· Properly utilizes hand tools associated with arboricultural work.
· Skilled in riggings used in tree work. Ex: rope breaks and speed lines.
· Lining up branches and piling appropriately for loading into the chipper.
· Assist with the implantations of tree felling procedures.
· Assists climbers and crew leaders working on the ground and aloft.
· Being responsive to visual cues and hand signals from the climber and acting promptly with ground support.
· Being attentive to the climber’s cues throughout the job, always keeping your eye on the climber.
· Assuring that climbers lines are kept clear at all times.
· Operates the chipper, Stump Grinder, Chain Saw and all other equipment safely. Filling equipment with gasoline or diesel while being mindful of safe handling of fuels.

· Keeping tools in the staging area and safe zone.
· Reports for duty on time each day.
· Follows directions from the crew leader or designated supervisor.
· Learns, understands and adheres to all safety rules and company safety policies.
· Participates in all safety sessions offered, asks questions and improves job safety skills.
· Communicates well with all crew members and crew leaders.
· Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility.
Requirements:
· Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.
· Must have an acceptable driving record.
· Must pass a background and drug test.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Physical ability to, use a chain saw up to 30 lbs., use an axe and other hand tools when needed and lift and drag branches over 50 lbs. at a time.
