I can't even begin to describe what a great time we had. A huge thanks to 7oaks and his wife Ginger! They could not have been more gracious hosts.

I can only add to MtFallsMikey's list that my screen name is masiman and that there was a Makita 6401. I was too busy chasing after my son when you put out the call to put your list together :dizzy:

I'll try to get this right (from left to right)
masiman, cut buddy Ben, Buzzsawyer, MtFallsMikey, ridgerunner97, k5krawler, Dad of homedelightman, 7Oaks(front), ilovemy660, homedelightman, canopyboy, ryans4022

masiman climbing a shale bark tree(?). I can't remember what 7Oaks called it, but it was like dead dry wood with stiff bark that came off like shale and caught the lanyard.

We owe a debt of gratitude to our GTG historian MtFallsMikey. He did a great job of taking notes and maisman you got the ids perfect according to my memory.

It's a shag bark hickory and yes maisman couldn't have picked a tougher tree to climb with spikes.

I'm working on getting some pics and vids together to upload but first I want to tell you all what my wife said after you had all left.

She said "What a great group of guys!" and I couldn't agree more what a GGG at the GTG!

My only complaint was the the small group of guys (you know who you are) who didn't leave my HOMEY black bear alone. Naught boys. :)

Hey Carl once again just like to say thank you and that you and ginger were very very wonderful hosts and that everybody at the gtg were probably the nicest group of people i have run into in a long time. As for your bear we couldn't pass up the photo oppurtunity he was just chillin in the clear cut he didn't even react to the vehicle! I had never seen a more calm bear in the vicinity of four people, he must be your pet and you never told us :)

I added some you left out - blame it on the stupor induced by the Iron City Beer - the same one that let Carl hide your RA.

REP for Ryans4022

Hey guys I'm hoping you'll all join me in sending some rep Ryan's way. If he hadn't come a day early I would never have gotten all the logs out of the woods in time. Thanks for all the help Ryan and I imagine you were glad you saw the bear down by the Sugar Shack as you were leaving not before going to bed.:)

GTG Photos

The videos are taking a long time to upload to YouTube so I'll try uploading some still pics:

Overall view looking southeast with Buzzsawyer using Mtfallsmikey's Ra. Funny how that particular saw was the only one to get lost during the whole weekend. :monkey:

Overall view looking east.

Homedelightman ... Biggest man with littlest saw.

At the next GTG I want Jonathan to give a class on tuning and sharpening. His Homeys all cut incredibly fast.

Non-sawing distractions

I'll get back to the sawing next but thought I'd add a break in here for some distractions that proved to be lots of fun.

Smallest sawyer with biggest saw::greenchainsaw: Ben maisman's youngest.

Ryans4022 demonstrating his mini tractor pull. He fabricated it himself and it really pulls.

Jonathan with his Homelite 2 stroke circular saw. Never seen one of these before.

Okay now for the most original, creative and fun part of the day...

What do the rest of you do with all the cookies created duringg a GTG? Little Ben came up with the perfect solution...Cookie races down the slope of the Gob pile. Odd he won every race too...:)

Remember the 11th commandment buzz..Thou shalt not covet they neighbor's saw

My apologies for not getting all of the saws...(I believe that brought the total to 39), and for misspelling your handle masiman!

7oaks: could not see your pics...just showed up as the box with the red X

Maybe the Missus will be getting the vids up on YouTube today...can't send them here.

I just wish you guys would have gotton a pic of the black snake you sawed in half that was in the log!

And...thanks to buzz for the help with my 036.
