Okay, here's a try at embedding:

homedelightman's hot saw. Jonathan give us more info please - as I said my memory is as bad as my hearing and I'm a lousy note taker...

For embedding the video:
On the youtube page, there is a blue box to the upper right of the video that has the posters name plus "URL" and "EMBED". You want to copy the embed link and paste directly into your posting here.

Without the leading "<" on each element

Thanks Chris...Think I got it done. The clogs are on the front steps :)

Here's canopyboy using his 660 (I think but I didn't take notes).

Can anyone tell me how to make a video link so that there is an image of the video in the message as opposed to the link as it is here?

Yup, that's me, but not my saw. Pretty sure that was K5's 084, so if he says so it must be.

Thanks to all you guys who took videos and pictures. I'm enjoying making my wife watch them....

Wish I could have made it...

I really wanted to get together with you folks, just so you can see what a true @$$#O!E I am...but it looked like a great time for all...

These videos and pics prove that it is NOT raining in WV all the time! I can hardly believe it myself, is that the same place I was at a couple weeks ago where it just poured and poured on me as I sloshed around in the mud trying to build my log home?

Carl looks like a fine host!

Cheers,
TT

Two days before the GTG we had 5" of rain in just a few hours and I spent of half the day before the GTG filling the washouts on my road. As a consequence I didn't get all the large logs out of the woods I had wanted to.

It rained off and on the day of the GTG but the sun popped out occasionally. The only hard rain proved an opportunity to take a break and eat some of the venison burgers, venison steak, venison sausage, hotdogs, beans, ramps, etc before going back to the fun. Wish you had made it.

The pics of your log home are outstanding. Love the large knotty pine and the traditional joints. Can't wait to see the finished product and really sorry you hit Virginia as such a miserable time.

I have some traditional tools I want to show you but haven't had time to photograph them.

At least the sun popped out occasionally for you! Looks like a good time was had by all.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm pouring my heart into this project, like no project I have ever taken on. This is without a doubt one of the most outrageous projects I have taken on. I know my kids will appreciate this home when I leave it to them.

Would like to see. I have been eying some broad axes, the last one I got I gave to Tim Bullock as a token of appreciation for all of his help. Without him I couldn't have done this. If your by Jane Lew, stop in and say him to Tim sometime, he's a great guy to know. If you can get any large pine, he's the guy to talk to, he's always buying. He wants the butts at least 24" though.

The other tool I'd like to find is a decent slick. Don't have one but would like one.

Cheers,
TT
