Your very own Homelite 770-G3. Saved it from the landfill at a local garage sale. Chain is frozen to the bar. Water is literally weeping from the carburator. Interesting gear drive. It's ugly, it's old, in some places it's still sorta red, but I LIKE IT!!!:D

Just printed the page from the "acres". Wow! You'de better hope when you turn 35 you've aged with more grace than this did.

Anyone tuning these? Walker, KD, Greffard?

I try and name all my interesting possessions. My S&W #29 Classic is "Mrs. Beasely", from the Family Affair show with Brian Kieth. My Perazzi trap gun is "Uncle Waldo" from the Disney movie Aristocats, the drunken gander. Whom here best fits the description of a lumpy old saw, suffering from alot of rash, a frozen blade, and hideously long tusk like teeth? You decide and that will be his name.

Hi there Beavergirl, before I start hitting on you and telling you how to smarten up that behemouth, let me get this joke out of the way, K?
"Save a Tree, Eat a Beaver".
Having said that, I would keep the Homedelight as a conversation piece in your den, or just fix it up and sell it on Ebay.
Cheers Candice

The last 770-G I saw on eBay hit about $30 in running shape. Not a bad saw, but without the cachet of the 990.

I say name it "John". There are so many of us here it has to fit someone.

Gypo,

What an intro. your implausible, too much. :p

"Save a Tree, Eat a Beaver". :blob2:

just picked up 3 new chisel chains for 10 inch bar, for my poulan xxv,for 5 bucks on ebay. seem to be pretty good chains.

Hi Lobo, thanks. Yes Siree, I got boat loads of carisma. The gals really think I am quite debanaire, and I have CG's permission to say so.
I will come home when I am ???? good and ready to sleep on the couch.

Clito man, You list your occupation as "swinger". I am still new to arborculture, Is that what they call a clumsy tree climber?
Just curious,
George

Actually, it seems to be getting a bit IN hand:rolleyes:
It started out pretty cool though. I love finding stuff like that for next to nothing or even nothing. John, how is that whack of macs you scored at the dump. Any survivors?
My 090 came with it's own name, Old Fritz, scratched on the air cleaner cover.

I just sold someone a dozen of those old Susan B Anthony quarters for $5 Ha! what a dope

Ummm, Those coins with Susan B Anthony were DOLLAR coins, not quarters.

Susan B. $$

I think we were all supposed to realize that Brian. I suspect that Woodbeard's tongue is firmly in his cheek.

Don't use "whack" in this thread...

Those Macs are still sitting in the garage. The old 250 looks good, two of the three Mini Macs should be running, and the 510 seems fine except for an oiler that's dumped into the crankcase. Maybe a little time over the next month and I'll have 'em sorted out.

There was someone here who was interested in a Mac 610 I have? Anyone have a better memory than I?

Please don't tell me you got that 090 for $5...

No, I aquired Fritz for just under $300 on ebay, only menioned it for the naming thing.
W***k is a quantification term, but point taken, and I promise to keep my tongue in my cheek for the rest of this thread.
I've got a 660 Mcculloch an old farmer gave me. big heavy old gear drive thing. Probably just needs a carb kit and such, but it will likely sit in my barn for a while.
