Ya know, I miss the birthday bash, watching a bunch of boots get wasted and trash their Blues!
Had a kid do the best first base slide thru a HUGE mud slick, face first, in his Alpha's! That was in 1992

Went out to dinner with a buddy of mine (without the wives) I went thru boot camp at PI in Aug of 1969 and infantry training in NC. He was a squad leader and I was the Gidon. We had hours of stories but spent just a couple. He had a liver transplant a couple of years ago. Doing real good but it weakened him a lot. Very successful and wealthy man but it cannot buy health. Semper Fi all.

I met R Lee here at home some years ago, he was on tour for the Recruiters, we took him to the local Jarhead gathering establishment, he was AWESOME, he didn't drink, but he didn't need too, was telling a the gangstas that came in to pull up their pants, take their cover off in side!! at first I thought we where gunna get in a fight, but then they recognized him and they listened! again AWESOME
