From the photos, the plastic looks

cheesy. Reminds me of the new off-brand power tools that show up at the flea markets & discount tool stores; almost like they're made to be disposable. I would have serious reservations. Hopefully someone here can give you a more experienced & educated answer.

That grinder looks pretty cheap to me, notice how much looks like plastic on it.


I have to agree with the "you get what you pay for" saying.
 
I did buy one of their 29 dollar hand held grinders and the on off switch broke within a week. BUT four years later the thing still is sharpening my bush hog blades, grinding lousy welds, etc. Sounds just as nasty now as it did when I bought it. It even came with a spare set of brushes for the motor...hasn't needed them just an interesting addition to the package.

I wonder about those "reconditioned" homelites you see in Northern Supply....for 150 bucks.
