I might have an opportunity to get some plantation teak from Costa Rica. Did a search on the site and nothing came up. Has anyone here milled it before. If so, pros, cons, best way to saw. If this comes to pass, will post some pics. Thanks in advance.

Cheers and Merry Christmas

I have resawn teak, but haven't milled a log so I can't comment on the bark. The wood is hard but cuts clean & smooth. It's very oily. The dust sticks to everything. Pretty smelly, too. For resawing, it was a pretty easy cut, just messy.

I've resawn quite a bit of it too, never had any on the BSM though. IF i could get my hands on a teak log, i'd sure not want to waste any of it, milling it with a CSM!
