Our bearings froze up and we're having difficulty getting the pulley off end of shaft. Thought I'd check here before we start ramping up the effort and break something. We're using a puller, but the pulley is not budging. Wondering if there may be a set screw or something we over looked. Also would be nice if someone had step by step info on how to do the entire bearing replace job... which is not covered in owners manual.
Any help appreciated

Tor bought US Praxis a few months ago. You did not mention what size machine you have but the parts drawings for the 13HP model
show a taper lock pulley. On those pulleys there are 3 bolts, take those bolts out and depending on the size of the pulley there are 2 or 3 threaded holes in the inner bushing ( the piece you took the bolts out of) those 2 or 3 holes are pusher holes put the bolts in them and evenly tighten them until the pulley starts moving off the inner bushing. after the pulley is lose there should be a slit in the inner bushing put a screw driver in the slit and give it a few small taps with a hammer to help loosen the bushing from the shaft.
DONT DRIVE THE SCREW DRIVER IN TO FAR BECAUSE IT WILL BREAK THE BUSHING AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE IT. There may also be a set screw in the outside part of the bushing by the key grove. I would recommend taking a measurement of where the bushing is on the shaft before removing it (this will make it easier when you go to put it back together).

Here is a link to toros parts manual on the 13 hp unit.

hope this helps
