Here are some pics of cut off stumps from yesterday. Three big trees and 5 small oaks; nice back yard w/ nothing in it but house and fence.:blob2: Took down small trees first and had plenty of room to swing large pieces away from house and privacy fence.

This job was $$$ in the bank and fun to do. 1 rope man for 2 days with minimal wood handling (leave lay). Customer is a young enthusiastic poulan swinger. He just bought it for the job.:D

Zip line video clip. you need RealOne player or Media Player or some other media player to view it. I met a local climber who is a certified arbo and we set up a zip line this past Sunday. Check him out....

Rocky, I try to keep my angles skrate. It's a skip tooth chain also b/c that 3' bar is a lil' big for my ms460. Camera is a Canon Power Shot A70. A $300 piece of FUN.

Butch, the wierd sound could ge a bone dry dead nub that he kicked on his way by then hit the ground making another cracking noise or it could have been the highway 30 yrds to our right.

Nice work, Mike...both tree and camera!!!

I shoot with a Canon G2, may upgrade to the G5. Also getting a digital 35 mm soon, as I have several of the pricey and awesome Canon Pro lenses.

I zipped about 50 branches out of two big doug fir today. As darkness approached, I considered a quick exit myself from 85 feet, but didn't have a long enough control line with me. I'll try to get a video when we drop a 67 foot butt log, alongside the house. I'll be snubbing the butt to the stump to control any possible adverse bouncing butt action. Can't have the house get smacked by a 1200 board foot stick kicking sideways!

By the way, think Paris Hilton would be into any bouncing butt action..or is she only into girls now?

Roger, I was watching that show the other night and almost had a heart attack when I saw that they actually knew how to use a ladder. Those 2 are USELESS, and as has been proven by the numerous tapes... Paris is a piece of trash.

Nice pics Mike, by the way do you know that the dogs on your 460 are upside down???

Ha! They are!

I kind of thought so but tried it both ways and like the top spike longer than the bottom. Less bar length gets into the wood w/ em like that but I can pivot the saw farther through the log before working the power head down again. That 3' bar doesn't get used much, 24" is more practical roun' here.

Rodger your pics of the working zip lines that you've posted in the past are awsome. I had never used one until I saw your pictures, but have set a handfull up since. Get us a video!!!!

Mike, sure, I may have some under 4mb, otherwise, soon, I hope to find the time to install some video editing software, so I can compress, or shorten clips, as well as rotate them. My 35 mm habit of shooting in vertical format is hard to break...and it doesn't work for video, but may keep the chiropractor busy.
