Welp, since all the GTGs thus far have been over 1000 miles away, we have decided to try to put one together right here in Kansas, about 50 miles from the geographic center of ye olde USA!
Timeline is for the fall, to give us time to plan a date and so forth. Mr. Bowtie has graciously offered to find us a place to do this, and possibly some LARGE native Kansas wood upon which to exercise (or exorcise) our machinery.
I will procure the use of a large trailer cooker/smoker, and possibly a whole hog (if enough people to warrant it) for a real pig roast! (in honor of Ramadán, of course
) We'll have sum Heartland Heartwood hospitality!
So, suggestions for a weekend in September or October, or November, for the first annual (hopefully) Heartland Chainsaw Happening?
