Hi, I am thinking of putting a video camera on my helmet possibly to Bluetooth to an iPhone 4. this is to be used while climbing, rigging and cutting etc.

My question is does anyone have any good setups they would like to share, what are some of the pros and cons of setups that people have tried?

also i usually use a pezl helmet with a visor- will the visor be an issue do you think?

I use a VIO POV-1.

Visor has to stay down when filming.

VIO pros: Small camera head. Remote on wrist for starting and stopping. Good quality.

VIO cons: Wire running to recording device.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. You'll spent more time editing than you do filming.

I have the GoPro 2. It takes a bit to get used to. Make sure you buy a polarized lens for it. If you don't the video will appear too bright and grainy. The lens costs about 15 bucks. Editing is the real bugger. Put aside some time and prepare to get frustrated learning how to use computer software.
