I am looking around for a saddle and stumbled upon this one on the Freeworker site. It is called the Kolibri Multislide. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Also any info on the Edelrid Treemagic would be great too.

I also am in the market for a new saddle. That multi side looks awesome. I wonder if anyone will have more info on it? I hope to see it at Grows this week.

Man saddles sure have come a long way over the past couple of years.

i have the edlerid tree magic, purchased from Nod(treeworker.co.uk)
very nice harness.....possible the lightest on the market, infinitely adjustable and
stacks of gear loops. i think it is dependant on your climbing style wether or not you will like this. i'd say if you're a lighter climber like me who tends not to hang around in my harness a huge deal, you cant go wrong with it.
i did speak to nod about the kolibri......it was a toss up between these 2. he says its a very comfy harness to wear(as you can see from the pics)
only reason i didnt get it is because i like to go lightweight. the kolibri is definetly suited to the bigger build climber. i will try one on at the next trade show in may....might even buy one if i like it.

e-mail nod from the treeworker website.....hes a decent bloke, im sure he'd mail it to ya.

Brandon, you might also want to look at the Tree Austria Duo. It looks very similar to the Butterfly and Okie has them in stock. I got my last one from him last summer.

How do you like it? Does the floating D slide well, or does it kind of hang up? Also, I like the idea of my legs being able to move more independantly.

Brandon,
I tried about a half dozen saddles at the TCI Expo a couple years ago. Prior to that I wasn't keen on the individual leg strap saddles, every one I'd tried was a little 'pinchy'. The Sherrill/ Buckingham saddles were heavy and the Petzl at a local saw shop was pure torture. Of all the ones I tried, the Duo fit me best and was the most comfortable for me. I did buy the clip-on bosun seat for an extra $50 but ended up taking it off after 2 days and never put it back on again. The sliding D worked nicely also, I like the single aluminum D. I had to provide my own biners to use as saw clips and there are only 2 gear loops on the back. The first one didn't last as long as I would have hoped, it was almost worn out in less than a year. But by that time I wasn't willing to go back to the heavier saddle. Got my second one from Okie and now I'm flying the bucket most of the time so this one should last for several years.

Yeah, I'm looking for something with a little more storage too, even if it is a little heavier. I tried on the Master 4 but I prefer a floating D. I'm gonna have to try on a BflyII. Decisions, decisions!
