I have a Dolmar 120si and I have a problem with the gas leaking only sometimes. When the saw is on its side and I fill up the tank, it drip out of the saw somewhere, but when you seal it up it stops. Also, a couple of times I have been milling and the saw is sideways, I will have to kill it for some reason. Gas also leaks out at this time. Anyone have any ideas of whats going on?

Mine did the same thing at times. I believe it was a tank vent, you could search for that and maybe find a fix.
I sold mine, great saw, miss it at times but my 6401 is just so much smoother to use.

Sorry to necro this thread but I came across it while working on my 120si over the weekend.

Mine was also doing the “Dolmar leak” whereby it gushes fuel from somewhere inside the saw while on its side during refueling. I worked out that it was leaking around the edge of the tank vent. Looks like someone may have been in there previously and messed up a tiny lip in the plastic piece holding the rubber duck bill vent in place. I thoroughly cleaned it all up and refitted the vent by putting gasket maker around the edge. I put a bit more in there once seated and used a cotton swap (q-tip) to go around the edge and push it into the join (much like siliconing a 90 degree wall join.) I left it to cure for 24hrs and today it’s holding totally. No more leaks at all. I’ve drawn a blue circle in the attached pic where I used the gasket maker.

I hope this might help someone else down the track.
