help identifying old wood stove

Sorry, can't help you figure out what make it is. Do you have a pic of the firebox inside? Any type of coal stove has a cast iron fire grate. If it has no fire grate then it's wood only. Maybe that will help.
 
It did have a cast iron grate with a round center piece, I don't have a pic now tho. I recently found one just like it on Craigslist, he says his is a better n Ben's wood/coal. If anyone knows where I can find a manual that would be great
 
I have actually identified it, it's a better n Ben's model 901. Unfortunately they are like 30 years old, this one has been well taken care of and really painted. I nerd to know the recommended installation measurements still. Can't fin anywhere, so if anyone can find them I would be eternally grateful

You may be right. This company made a lot of wood stoves. I like yours better. That ash pan that yours has below the fire is a great idea. The one above is likely not much better than the old Franklin stoves they sold back in the '70s.
