Your basic lawnmower engine adapted to a simple chainsaw chassis. Power Products AH 47 engine.

Several makers has essentially the same setup so, hard to tell.

Fun to fool with though.

Edit: From what I can see of the sprocket, maybe 1/2" chain. Not cheap if you can find it.

Just checked the chain, its .404 and i happpen to have a new short pc leftover from the cordwood processor thats just long enough to make a loop for it.
Clutch is stuck though, ill haveta destick that.

Yup, AH47. 77cc's and usually about 3.5h.p. These are easy to work on too. I can't tell for sure from the pics, but it doesn't look like a Tillotson carb, maybe a Brown or Lauson. I had an AH98 David Bradley with a Lauson carb on it.

Welp, not the first time I been wrong. Good news is (if it is an HL), if you need to rebuild the carb, kits can still be had.

Cool looking old saw..I bet that baby really barks with that High Tech Muffler...No Muffler Mods needed on that one:msp_biggrin:

Well, i cleaned up the bar, fitted a new chain on it.
Took the carb off to find it filled up with bar oil, atleast everything is lubed! Cleaned out, tossed on a new fuel line and she fires, but wont stay running. Plug is soaked, im thinkin its still choking on bar oil.
Ill attack it tomm some more and hopefully have a ride report.

Similar yes, appears to use the same motor, but def not the same critter from what i can see from pics off the web.
I got plenty of other saws i should be working on, but for some reason i feel the need to get this thing running good so i can make a few frisbees with it!
Ill do a more thourough job cleanin the carb later today, may even send it with the Miss to work so she can ultrasonic clean it for me. She is very understanding

Nice find its cleaning up real nice..
I cant wait to find one im jealous
