Well my bobcat 323 has done another track motor/final drive.

the last time she did one it cost me $5000 to fix, i could replace the machine for $35,000.

As i cant afford to replace it i was hoping some one has a work shop manual for the track motors so i can rebuild it my self, or like some one said he did with his chipper he imported the whole peice from the states and just bolted it in for half the price of it being rebuilt by the dealers work shop.

the machine has only done 1600 odd hours, but i do A LOT of tracking in and out of jobs and im pretty much constantly driving foward and back while shaping and cleaning sections, i also climb up and down some rediculous things. ive gone up and then down 15 flights of steps in a building to do a job just to give you a idea how hard i push my machine.

is there any one out there that can help me please.

I'm no expert, BUT:

A few years ago a builder had a bobcat that shelled the drive belt fairly regularly.

I replaced it (as a favor) and in doing so noticed that a "rocker adjuster ?" just seemed to be wrong. The book and the machining showed it wrong. It was putting tension on the wrong portion of the belt. So I re-tapped the part, turned it over and installed it. He wasn't happy until it lasted many years until he sold it.

Just a thought, maybe not applicable.

Does they part have any brand name on it or ID tag? I highly doubt
Bobcat makes it them self it could be a nachi or other brands of track drives.
Any pictures? Help us help you.
