Our grinder cutting wheel is not disengaging properly. It is not responsive to the switch that controls the wheel and never stops turning until engine is shut off.

Do any of you know what the problem is?

Thanks...

The switch engages the electric clutch. So it sounds like you are getting power to the clutch, regardless of the position of the switch. I would test the switch. If it's ok, then trace the wiring to see if the clutch is getting power from somewhere else.

The only other thing I can think of is the clutch isn't disengaging properly (a mechanical problem in the clutch). I never took the clutch on our machine apart, so I don't know how it works.

Thank you very much for your response! I will check power to the switch & where it derives its power from.

I sure appreciate it!
