Just got my saw I ordered off of Ebay, well this might not be as good as I thought as I think it may be a 216* (can't tell as the serial tag is scratched ) not a 2171. Is there any way to tell as this thing looks to be peiced together to some point, any thing would be great help.

picts

post three good clear picts . tag with the serial number muffler port, recoil side

Ok here are some not the best
on the serial tag you can clearly see the 21 and the next # looks to be a 6 to the best I can see ( hard to see in the pic ) and the last # is unidentifiable.

The saw either started its life as a 2165 or 2163, and I suspect that scratch on the number plate isn't accidental.....

Anyway, it shouldn't matter much if the P & C is the 2171 (70.7 cc) version, and the carb is Walbro, not Zama.

I had that saw in my watchlist on ebay. It's too bad that some people just can't be up front with what they are offering for sale. So far I have had a decent experience with ebay I just had to learn to walk away when outbid.

Well found out today from a Jonsered dealer that it is a 2163 not a 2171. What should I do, as the saw will work for what I want to do with it, make a project with a 372 BB kit, but it still was not what I paid for. OK I'm done cryin' now any opinions.
