Whoa! I've seen those used on tree service trucks ran by compressed air, but not run by backpack-air compressors!! Very interestin' to me!

G'day Guys,

So if you dont get the backpack pole saws up there, do you also not get the backpack clearing saws?? Check out the picture.
Cheers
Charlie.

I've never seen one of those either. From what I've seen the manufacturers have many more products than they bring in to any one country. I wonder why they sell these items in some places but not others.

Hey Slabberman, send me your e-mail, I got a deal for you. [email protected]

PS250

AHH..you guys have found something really close to my heart...the PS250!! The Ultimate in a pole saw...but..didnt do well here in the USA
Do you fellas remember the 254XP saw?...well thats the powerhead we used, and thats a hydraulic self contained pump /oil tank bolted to the powerhead. It was a really beautiful piece of engineering..high pressure pump.(2400psi)..small orbit motor on the pole coupled to a bar and chain. Completely Di-electric too!, as long as you used Di-electric oil in the pump. that baby would resist 4400 volts for 1 minute and 660V for ever!

Some of the best engineering went into developing that pump, bullit proof and made like a swiss watch, what a beauty!

You fellas who never used one..just picture this, compared to todays current crop of "string trimmer engined" pole saws.
The power of a closed port , 54cc 13,000 rpm engine on that pump , and the torque transfered to the chain by the way of a hydraulic motor at 75% of engine rpm!

Only thing tho..that must be some other currency the "EBayer"is talkin about ..here it was retailed for about 2200.00....then closed out in the end around 1700. I had a american hydraulic pump manufacturer offer me 2 grand for just the pump off of mine, because none were avail from Charlotte and they wanted to look into its innards badly!

I think I know where there is a dealer with a used one for sale for a grand today..if he hasnt sold it yet!.

G'day Dagger,

US$2200 is around $4150 in Aussie Dollars at todays rates. He must be trying to scare up the bids a bit.
Cheers
Charlie.

Sweet , I like the back pack clearing saws, are they hyraulic driven too? or run by a flex cable?

ps250

I have the HIGH CUTTER w/ the chain saw attachment. It extends up to 20' works great.
What I do not have is the lopper attachment. Have been looking for some time now but no sucess.
