The modified 038 is now officially back in the saw line up after 2yrs under the bench, I need a sticker for the saw that says "Parts by Dennis".
Gave it a good break in on 40 or so cubic meters of Doug fir, it is making more power than it ever did.
It was a good thing it was on the truck as one of the firs had a good size windcheck and my 372 got so filled up with pitch the starter rope won't recoil and it now has that rolled in wood flour look to it.
I took some photos and when I get them back and if the scanner decides to work I will post one or two.

The photos are good but the scanner isn't.
A little research on the web seemed to indicate that I was clever enough to buy one of the worst scanner brands out there.
I think I got their worst model as well:(
It is on it's way back to the store and just as well as I was mad enough at it to chew barbed wire and spit nails.
I'll post pics on the replacement machine.

Visioneer eh? What a coincidence:eek:
Like waking up the next morning and realizing you bought a Poulan the night before.

Well I guess the new HP 3500 works, for now.
Just a couple of pics to show I didn't make up the story.
Unfortunately I still look like I made the 038 part up as I used the 084 for that particular stick.
The tree on the ground to the right was felled with the 038 though, I promise.
And yes I realize that a good logger makes his pay from the stump heights he cuts and I was high on that one.
Besides, I never said I was a logger.:D

may have just been the angle o that last pic . but she looked like she was fixin to back up on u.
by the way the pics are real clear.

Tony,
Perhaps just the angle, I was felling with the favor on that one.
The neighbours house was about 35 feet behind the stump and opposite the lay, so yes if it did go back that would be a bad thing.
We got 4 logs at 24ft 6in and about 20 ft of top left over on that one.
