I know you are unemployed, but hasn't your mother kicked you out of bed yet? I miss you. *smootch*
Hi John, I know what I'm dealing with buddy, you don't know me. Maybe you would be telling the Helsel's to be careful. A chainsaw is a simple device, someone willing to throw enough money at a project could make a 200 hp saw that weighs under 60 lbs. It may cost $30000.00 but money is the only criteria in question. I didn't realize thf was banned. I would not have started this thread if I knew he could not defend himself. I will refrain from hacking on him until he is allowed back in. I know the Helsels are good, they will be worthy competitors. Cheers and I hope it's not too cold over there, 10C here today.Gypo Logger said:Hi Simon, in all fairness I would ask the mods for TFJ's reinstatement since you got alot of jabs in there as well. Tom is just a little more abrasive that's all, plus I think he may have been on probation for similar behaviour. lol
Also, do you realize what you got yourself into by challenging the Helsels?
You would have been much better off if you had challenged dozerdan or myself.
Anyway, if I have spoken out of turn I will simply drive off into the sunset of my hillbilly uselessness. lol
John

Have a nice Christmas Ken, Cheers.
Actually my Mom's husband is the retired Vice-President of MacMillan-Bloedel. His income tax on pension and capital gains is over $200K a year. I am heading down there tomorrow, (Nanaimo). I shall post some pics for you if you like. He has an I.L. Jensen painting hanging behind his chair in the library worth over $500K according to the ladies from Christie's Auctions in London, UK who came over to evaluate them in '03.kf_tree said:i think not........i'll just give the money to russ and have him buy one for me. ha ha ha
i can see it now.....Russ the saw pimp.
did you help your parents put lights on the trailer for the holidays? or is that a big no no since it's parked on some one else's property and they don't want to draw attention.
Hahaha! Now that right there is funny, even if it IS makin' fun of my relations!kf_tree said:did you help your parents put lights on the trailer for the holidays? or is that a big no no since it's parked on some one else's property and they don't want to draw attention.
Yeah, I've been pretty much an embarrassment since achieving perfect marks in engineering at Malaspina College (Nanaimo BC), UBC (Vancouver, BC) and receiving my Masters in Mechanical Engineering in Boston in 1996. She is awesome. She is a 6 handicap golfer at 66 years of age and can beat me at her home course about 60% of the time. 5 '2", 98 lbs. She can still kick a$$ at tennis too.kf_tree said:simon

John was one of the good guys. He left when Noranda took over. He told them "You are turning this company into a forestry mining company. We are a forestry management company." He started off as a forester and climbed the ladder quickly due to his management skills. He attributes this to his military training. He was the general manager of Franklin River in the 70's. One of the largest camps in Western Canada. (about 700 men and their families) He was very well respected as a hands-on leader and set production records.L-Enterprises said:I guess he was part of the " The Big Sell Off " then. MB was sucked up by Weyhauser in a straight up deal that made the top brass at MB very rich men on the backs of all the lumbermen.
Thank God I contract for nice people like the J.D.IRVING !
