I spent the last 3 days at a Trails Skills College. Which is where several volunteer trail working groups teach volunteers to do trail things. Today I went to chainsaw practice. Oh, I wore my MacT and was delighted to see one of the instructors pulling out a shiny new bright orange Skull Bucket. He mentioned it being the Chinese one.

Anyway, it was hot, for here. We hit 80 something today. So, on the way home, the car we were riding in smelled a bit rank. I did not have any Skin So Soft to make us smell better. It would have been hard to sell. The bugs weren't out yet.

Oh, I ran Huskies today. I don't know what models. One was....a limbing saw:msp_smile: with a little 20 inch bar. The other weighed about the same as The Barbie Saw except it had a fragile Oregon reduced weight bar on it--which I treated very gently. It took a while to get used to the Pull Out And Push Back in switch. But they did not have flippy caps!

I think if they were handing out nicknames, my name would be PINCH. And some bad, unoriginal 4 letter words spewed out of my mouth.:taped:

I have to study. The cut made so you can roll the chunk out easier is NOT called The Secret Trail Cut, but is called The Double Mitred Cut. Or is it Mitered? There is a book on line and I need to find it and study if I want to pass their certification for buckers.

Anyway, I better go shower. I have no Skin So Soft.

Don't know if you've seen it, but the series III of gerry beraneks DVD's is a great investment. It comes in 2 parts and you can get them at baileys. It adds up to about 10 hours viewing, but I feel he could have cut at least 3 minutes out of it if he left out the pleasantries. Some of the best and most detailed instructional video I've ever seen.

Thank you but the publication they use and I just downloaded is a chainsaw and crosscut saw guide from the Missoula Technology center. It has the correct terminology to use. I wonder is Swarp is in it?
