high pressure wash tools

a really stupid question in some peoples view but i need to ask just in case. I want to give my stihl chainsaws and trimmers, hedge trimmers a good clean, is it ok to wash them with a karcher high pressure gernie. Should i de grease them first then wash them or will this do some damage??

Use purple super clean and a regular garden hose. A little elbow grease goes a long way.

The reason you want to stay away from a high pressure washer is because the pressure can force the water through the seals and gaskets of the saw. High pressure washers were developed to do cement and brick cleaning, not chainsaws.

i use starting fluid, be sure you rinse the air cleaner with mix gas, dont suck ether into the cylinder
