I asked about technora hollow briad as a tress cord, a buddy has played with them and they wore very fast.

He says that Aramid fibers wear charictaristics make it a poor choice for what we do wather it is exposed or covered.

Also, Brian, that yellow and orange rope seems to not wear very well. The fibers do not melt, but seemed to have chared after I bailed out a big stem. At least I did not get a big streak on my climbing line like a polly Would have left.

It was one long baol and some of the yarns showed visible wear, what I think was charing. Not a whole lot, and I will climb on it again.

I'm begining to think that this search is a lost cause. Can those small surfaces dissapate the heat fast enough so as not to damage even high temp fibers?

Though I do like the idea fibers that char vs. melting. How'bout cotton or hemp tress cords?

NER KMIII is only .60 per foot and is NFPA 1983 complient (Fire rescue standards), so if these ar considered expendable tools that last a month...
