home muffler mods

have a 385xp just wandering what muffler mods I can do at home if any. I just dont want to damage the saw. Or if I order A muffler from walkers does anyone know how much they cost? I live in north carolina I would like to find someone close who knows what there doing,any help will be great....thanks.

Nice saw. Don't worry about finding a local dealer to mod your saw. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, just send it to any of the great saw modders that you can find on this site, and you will know it is done right. Shipping is cheap. Beats buying another saw because it went to somebody who didn't know what to do.
