Good saw?
I picked up a cherry one for $75 today at work. Runs like a pickle seeder.
Ill get some pictures when I bring it home tomarrow.
Anybody else got one of these boat anchors out there?

I have a 650 lil brother to yours that I need a muffler for to get going again. 100cc of just piston. Used them years ago and still hear the ringing in my ears. Most fun was gas and oil side by side and we had one that had 2 red caps so one of the new ground guys put gas in both sides then called me to ask where does the oil go? Good luck getting it running, they were fun saws to haul around.

I have a cut off saw that is a little bro to that beast, I have the DM50 model. That thing is a BEASTLY machine, I want it. The engine design is sort of hard to fix but can be fixed with the right tools. The 360 450 550 750 and some others are all equipped with AV mounts on them.

I have the complete collection of the "50" series, 350/360, 450, 550, 650, and 750. I once had a long-time dealer tell me Homelite never made a 650. I have no idea where he came up with that. I also have a 550 that is brand new. It has never had gas in it.

That must mean the 650 I have in my garage is worth a fortune:)

You got quite a deal there. These were some of Homelite's best saws, although they had the carb boot problem. I've seen mint ones hit $400 or so on eBay when saw prices were higher a couple years ago.

Have any of you guys heard of a Homelite 850? No, I don't mean the 8800. I swear I saw someone selling an 850 a few years ago. It looked to be part of the 360-750 line.

Thanks, I already have an SXL-925 so I know what they look like. The 850 I'm talking about was a saw of the 750 design. I've never heard any reference to one before or since I thought I saw one for sale.

I've never seen an 850 that was designed on the 750 chassis. It might have been a 650 that had the decal worn a bit and it therefore looked like an 8 not a 6. I mean its possible.

There was a guy selling one on ebay several years ago. I do not remember the specific design but I have heard the rumor of the 850 based on the 750 design. It was supposed to be over 8 cubic inches.
