HI Good Folks, I have a 925 homelite that runs like a bandit, but it is missing the compression release. I'm having no luck finding one, can any one help. Thanks, Dan Cunningham

You mean an SXL-925? I'm not aware they had compression releases. I own one. The VI-944 and VI-955 did.

The XL921,923 &924 had a Decompression Valve P/N A68026...$9.20... The last time it was in the price book (1982).
Lots of luck finding one.

Try one of these two vendors if Bill Walcott doens't have it.

Sisler's Sales and Service in Dubuque, Iowa 563-582-8551

Hawkins Bros. Shelbina, MO 573-588-4731

I had to order a 6 segment clutch for my fathers 925.

I first ordered it from Sislers and it was the wrong one. The proprieter is very helpful and ships you parts in an easy going manner but don't make the same mistake I did and tell him what part number you need. I recieved a 3 segment clutch which wouldn't work. Not his fault but the restock fee of 25% stung vs the price of the part.

I sourced the correct part from Hawkins Bros. whom then told me the 925 was outfitted at different times with either the 6 segment and 3 segment clutches. They were significantly cheaper, and I do mean significantly compared to Sislers.
I was able to get some impossible parts for a Super EZ automatic as well.

So call around and you just might scare up what you need.

Candice

It seems I had some luck finding the decompression valve from Hawkins Bro. in Missouri. I have my fingers crossed that it might screw right in and work perfectly. Thanks Candice for the good tip,and thank all the rest of all you good folks for taking time to reply to my post.
