Hey Guys:
I need alittle help, it seems that my old Homie 100045C is in need of TLC. Lent it to my brother-it got damaged-he took it to a saw shop and they said it's scored pretty bad and not worth repairing. I haven't had a chance to check it myself, yet. Later this week, I hope - right now I just depressed. I've had this saw for 8 years and its never let me down. It was my first 50cc saw.
Anyways-does anyone have the repair manual for this saw? How about a jug and piston, etc? Or where I might find these parts - SXL-AO internals.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Pete,

I should be able to get you the section of the repair manual you need. as for getting the jug and piston I would advise picking up a used saw from a dealers pile. The great thing about the SXL is there are tons of them.

On a side note how was it down in Georgia ?

Bill

Not to give you too many options on finding any SXL parts if you need them :buttkick: but I have tons of parts, plenty of nice top ends.

Go with scott first as my donor would be out of a running saw.

Plus I forgot and showed bad form........

Sorry scott, forgot about you being a sponson.

Thanks Guys, I really appreciate the responses.

Scott, I'll contact you as soon as I asses the damage. I've got to open the saw up.

Bill, if you can find those documents it would be appreciated. My trip to Georgia was allot of long days and nights-the damage, pretty severe. But the people were so grateful. Its the part of the job that makes me keep doing it. When you're finally able to restore power and see people smile. By the way did you ever get that 925 to run?

:) I wouldn't have said anything but I have soooo many SXL's and XL-12's it's not even funny :greenchainsaw:

I have a XL-901 up on ebay at the moment right now that might interest ya, also a halfway decent parts saw sitting on my shelves that came in with it.

I'm pretty good on Jonsered parts.

Mac parts... Still digging for the larger crankshaft clutch spider to fit your 650, I got a bad feeling I won't find one. For some reason there is a high demand for Macs north of the border in Quebec and guys will often come down and nearly buy out my Mcculloch stuff (I'm about 30 min from Canada).

Why is it brother-in-laws have this trait in common. I went through the same situation. Lent him my old Homelite VI Super 2 which was perfect mechanically. He said he would need it for the weekend. I told him fine, just bring it back with sharp chains. Well after a few months of bugging to get my saw back. What I got was a mess. Starter mechanism gear stripped, recoil spring unrecoiled in the case and side cover screws stripped out. And all 4chains looked like they were used to cut cement. I should have known better.
