Homelite XL oil mixture

I came across a nice old Homelite XL Automatic Oiler chainsaw and my question is what's the correct oil mixture for this saw? I've seen 16:1, 32:1, 40:1, & 50:1. What is the right mixture someone please. Thanks

Homelite recommends 32:1, and that's what I use. If you need a IPL and/or a owners manual, PM me.

I have several older Homelite's and they work fine on a good 50-1. Will be trying Amsoil sabre at 100-1 this summer. Won't hurt to run them with more oil, just costs more and makes more smoke.

I run 40:1 in my old saws and they seem fine.

40:1 is where it is at for vintage saws, actually run it that ratio in all my saws.

I used 50:1 in a SXLAO one time and locked up the motor destroying the whole top end. 32:1 is what manufacturer says and NO exceptions.
