Homelite XL2

I have a Homelite XL2 with a metal case; old. The piston ring broke on me. Where can I get a new one? My local guy told me that I could not order a new on anymore.

Check Ebay...there's a guy that almost always has at least one auction going for old Homelite parts. I can't remember his name, but his auctions usually show a pic of his smiling face next to a red Dodge PU. He's always advertizing to email him for other parts.

That's a little teapot=handled job, right?
They are a bear to put together when you split 'em apart. I tried to help a friend with a Bandit (same saw, only newer).

Never again.
