Who all has made special tools to split cases with and how/what/where/why?

This is my "splitter" Piece of 90 angle and some all thread. Ugly as hell but it does work.

Me too! Once done with the BFH(although I usually have one more letter in there) one way or another special tools ain't needed.

If a hammer doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.

If a bigger hammer doesn't work, get a hot wrench!

Usually Cranks on the 024,026 and 028's I lightly tap apart with my Hard Plastic mallet.With no metal in the hammer your not going to mess up the ends of the crank and the metal is harder than the plastic so it's not going to throw it off.
