Just checked and we are up to a Level 3. East winds and hot.

Bummer. We've been getting by on the skin of our teeth in terms of moisture. Don't know about there, but the rain'll be here soon. The Hoot ain't no fun - Sam

Hate to say it with so many wishing for wet, but our forest is looking good and still quite green. Been relatively cool and a good bit of moisture. Here's hoping those of you that need it get your share.

August is August...been on hoot owl since mid july in the Gorge.

This is the time of year where I may work from light til maybe noon then hit after the sun sets. Not always running a saw. Hard to see the tops in the dark.

Hoot Owl is not very fun at all, neither is working on the frost.
makes for some long days/nights
bumping knots by the light of a Johnny popper....

Hope all that needs wet, gets it, but not too much!
