Hey im in the market for a new chain saw. ive been running a poulan with a 16'' bar, kinda a piece of sh#t, and i wanted to get a bigger saw. I have a fair amount of experience running saws but the biggest i have ever used is a stihl 044. The saw i am lookin at right now is a stihl 064 super. It is going for $275 a pretty fair price, but is this thing gonna kick my ass? It also looses spark when ever it gets hot(2-3 tanks of fuel) after it cools it runs just fine, but is this a common problem with these saws?

You did not say what you are going to be doing with it. Not sure how much cutting your gonna do but its a good price for the saw. If you use a saw properly and let the saw do the work then the size of the saw is not gonna matter. Yes it will be more to move around and position weight wise but if your not running a giant bar on it, it should not be that bad. As far as losing spark when its hot, sounds like the coil may be going. I would look in to the availability of the coil before I bought it.
