how hot is your saw

Hey, 1 out 3 ain't bad for starters. Am seriously considering bow saw next.

Sounds good to me. I like the bowsaw, but you'll need about 300 to 400 saved up for your set up. (Thats a set up like mine with the blade) Then just cut an 8x8 in 4 or less sec. and you might place.
I'll start work on your jug next week. The boss has some chores for me to do first.

A HOTSAW is only a HOTSAW with 2 or more cylinders. UNLIMITED HOTSAWS ARE THE ONLY HOTSAWS!

I guess back east you boys don't have a true "unlimited hotsaw" class. the only rules we have is two men must be able to carry/ operate the saw. we run everything from 80" harley davidson's to four cylinder toyotas, v6 ford to v8 buicks like the predator. V8's are the power of choice out here in Washington. they give you the most power for being under 525 pounds. Not to mention they are easier on the ears than those high rev 2 strokes.

the truely "unlimited hotsaws" are cutting 30" sticks in under 2 seconds. that is even without the nitrous that my father V6Bill runs on his 2.8l ford. on the bottle we can cut as fast as 1.3 on the same 30" log. our v8 buick cuts in the 1.4-1.5 range with no outside help, and the "baby" saw cut the same 30" in 1.9 seconds! I don't care who you are, that is FAST! I now must take the time to give some spotlight to Rotax Robert and V6Bill. They have the "unofffical world record" with the Predator Hotsaw. They made a cut on a 30" log in a whopping .88 seconds! That is a bunch of chips in a short time span.
