Litefoot posted a question and pics of a splitter and asked how much we all thought it "wood" (that's a joke) go for. Anyone see a reply as to how much it sold for? Litefoot, you got a copy?

maybe:

1. the auction ain't over with yet

2. he's still there spending money buying everything

3. he never went. lol

Some stuff at farm auctions goes for crazy money. If it looks complete and working or shown/guaranteed to work that is a big plus. A complete box of parts gets overlooked and sold for cheap. Or they will start throwing more boxes together to get a quick sale.

Yeah, as the auction went on, I saw more people gathering around the splitter minute by minute. Each one seemed to have fanciful visions of the unit in their garage. I knew I was in trouble. No worries. I still have 3 splitters at home...Jacob (age 18), James (age 16) and Grant (age 14). So I'll be OK...it's just that they're a bit more expensive to maintain than the hydraulic kind.

There was an old Homelite 7-21 there that went for $15.
