How to Clean Tank Vent?

Husqvarna 141 Low Emissions (if that matters). I can suck a strong vacuum on the tank and it doesn’t seem to vent very quickly. I sprayed it with brake cleaner while under vacuum to try to draw cleaner into the bronze stone. I don’t see how to pull the stone so I can clean it better. What’s the trick here?

Most tank vents don’t vent quickly, especially the grub screw style. They shouldn’t hold a vacuum, but pumping the mityvac handle and seeing the needle raise to a few psi then drop down / bleed off fairly quickly is normal.

So in summary, you sucking with your mouth is not a good gauge to determine the effectiveness of a tank vent - it will always feel like it’s very restricted even when it’s working as intended
