Hi there!
I'm a 31 year old hobby logger, firewood cutter and sequoia fanatic from southeast Germany. My grandpa was a forester so I've been going to the woods with my grandpa and dad since I was little. We own about 10 acres of mainly spruce forest and also take care of other people's land for the firewood. I work as a programmer, so I try to get out as much as possible to make up for the time I spend on my butt.
During the past couple years I have also started to grow my own trees (mainly giant sequoias, red cedar, incence cedar, chestnut ...) and am planting them ever since on out land. So far I've grown close to 1000 trees so I'm running out of land on which to plant them. ;)
I was able to learn a lot of new things about felling techniques and chainsaws from Guilty of Treeson's and Buckin' Billy Ray's Youtube channels. So now, I am even more hooked on tree stuff then before.
We own two small traktors and a winch with which be do logging, firewood and overall forest management.
I recently got myself a MS261 after still using my grandpa's 028 from the late 70's. Besides that we got a 024Super, 026 and 461. Since it's nearly impossible to get your saw ported in Germany I am at least looking into muffler mods for my 261, 461 and my dad's 026. That's why I finally joined the club here.

Looking forward to learning great stuff from you guys! :)
