Any mower damage/decay pockets/ mushrooms around the base?

Did you climb it?

Do you have a pic of the whole tree, or a link to the story?

Is it in Chattanooga?

no mower damage at all, no visable lighting strikes ,yes i played in it ... the watered down version of the story is in arbor day issue may/ june 2005 page 2 ... tufc has a story as well and etc etc .the most interesting info was from a local historian from knoxville who came down to document the tree and show a cross referance in a book where gen. sherman camped .......dark
