Maine in the crosshairs for first hurricane hit in 17 years....could mean a lot of blown over trees....stay safe up there....It's raining like screaming Jesus on a ferris wheel down here.

Yeah man. It's coming right for me! I've been out all morning battening down the hatches and putting any possible flying items inside the barn. I think the eye is going too pass too the east of me by about 60 miles so I'll be on the west side of it which is better than the east. It's a cat 1 at the moment with 80mph winds. Gonna be a good blow. My house is over 200 years old so I'm sure it's seen a few. High tide is at 11pm and the storm is gonna hit land at 2am or so thats gonna be a problem for surge. I've got water and wood for my cookstove in the barn. The heavy rain is gonna be the worst part. We've gotten 4 inches so far the last 2 days and this is talking another 6"! Sump pump is cleaned and ready. Bring it on!

its been raining pretty good for the last couple days, my house is over 200 years old as well so im not too worried about it, but i too am putting everything in just incase the wind wants to pick it up and send it to the neighbors house.
Got wood and water by the cook stove ready for the power to go out like it normally does during a storm.
oh and the truck has gas and the saws are sharp and ready to pick up the blow downs.:greenchainsaw:

I am in Oxford County and the storm really hasn't been a storm here. It has been raining on and off for a couple days, but very little in the way of down pours and there has been no real winds at all.
It did cancel our trip the the Fryburg Fair and for that I am very distraught!

yeah the storm has been a flop, i live in south paris, not much of a storm, was kinda looking forward to getting some wood out of the storm. Oh well guess i have to stick to the 100 acres i have to cut off.

not much around here, im not far from moss man and we just had a little rain at night, didnt even rain all day saturday. whether was good down in mass in sunday though, played a football game down there and it only rained for a few minutes early on.

Yep pretty much was a bust although I'm glad of it. 7 inches of rain though. and A little blow last night but not much. I'm right on the coast too so it definately missed us.
