the oil in my 2100 just runs out of the oiler when not in use. i have the pump set on the least amount of oil. i know some may work its way out but i was just wondering if this is common on the old 2100?

Does it drain the tank ? Or is it simply a little puddle? A small puddle may simply be the oil remaining on the bar draining out while it sits. Or it could be that the vent is slightly clogged and it allows for a small amount of pressure to build in the tank, which pushes some oil out. This is very common on lots of saws and while it is annoying is rarely a cause for major concern as long as the saw is oiling well. Otherwise you may have a leaking gasket or something else in the pump is allowing the oil to leak out.

pretty much drains the tank. the oiler body don't look that great but the guts look great. know where i can get a new oiler???

my 2100 leaks oil also but doesnt drain the tank, i just store it in a position so it leaks less- minor detail - i wouldnt worry about it, oil is cheap. you can get poulan oil at walmart for $2.50 a gallon.
