Can anyone tell me how to compress the chain brake spring on a Husky 240 so I can put the inner cover over it?

Can anyone tell me how to compress the chain brake spring on a Husky 240 so I can put the inner cover over it?

Follow up on this. I had to make a tool to rotate the brake spring open. I used an old 15/16" castle nut and ground off every other castle. Flipped it upside down then put an extra nut on top of it to take up the space in a shallow socket so I could push down while turning.
