Have a 268 coming the owner said started backfiring and then quit..he said has no spark, sounds like coil.
was wondering if anybody could enlarge the coil swap list further on the 268.
this is what i have but have none of these coils, extra.
is this coil one that can be taken apart and the original frame used ??
the list.

I,m sure the list can be added to..what i have so far.

Poulan Pro 475 and would work on the 415, 445 and 505 as well as the Jonsered clones. Also the original Partners of that series. (MM)
A husky 55 coil is what some have used on 7900/681s also (mdavlee)

I have a couple of the saws you listed ron. not sure the coils are any good but I have a few parts saws.

All those Huskys on the list should bolt right on, no messing around.

I got a couple of green ones here to fit it if you want them. They work great as long as you don't want your saw turning over 10,500 :givebeer:

Not sure how this will affect you but the early saws of this family had two piece igns. The later ones were one piece. As far as taking them apart to change windings and use the origonal laminations??? All of these I've seen were moulded enclosures and don't come apart well (or go back together) Generally speaking.....625,630 and 670 Jonsered and the husky 61,162,266,268 and 272 will fit. But again there are two types of igns.

I always wondered what that 2 piece ign was all about. The plug wire comes out of the second smaller piece as opposed to the one that gaps the flywheel. Maybe a spark booster? The 181SE has the two piece and may be compatible with the 61, not sure though.

mweba discovered a 55 would fit a 3120, with a little modification for the change in flywheel radius.
