I have a 2000 Husqvarna 340 with a 346XP top end that needs a new carburetor. What carb would be best for it and where should I buy it ?

It's the 340's origional carb. The manual says it should be a Walbro 159. It doesn't have a primer bulb.

Will those fit on that saw series without any modifications? ( asking for a friend 😬)

Pretty much, sometimes you have to use the larger 357/359 elbow and filter as well- other times you might have issues with throttle linkage drag.
It all depends on what you are mixing and matching and your requirements- plus the version/age of the original saw.

Larger venturi carbs just let more air in- you increase fuel via the adjustment screws and or drilling jets.
The saws run okay with original 340-350 carbs, you can just get a little more out of them with a proper 346 conversion if you use the bigger 357/359 system.
