Last weekend I was looking at some saws at the local shop when one came crashing down and hit my finger. Someone put one back and nocked the 346 loose. Hurt like HE#@. 14 stiches. I even hit the artery in the finger. The guys working in the shop turned white.

It was probably mad because you bought that ms460. :D

you arent kidding RJS, I nicked myself with my hand saw this summer and Doc threw in 7 stitches before I knew what happened.

What? You guys dont do your own sutures?

I live next to Charlie and Pearl. Charlie is 84 and still farming, plus his land has a stand of woods. Pearl was telling me that Charlie once nicked himself with a chainsaw on the thigh. He came walking into the house and asked Pearl to stitch him up. She refused, saying he needed to go to the hospital. So Charlie sat in the kitchen and did it himself. Pearl just shook her head.

That cut was to the bone! If it was to my left hand I would have sutured it but it was to my right hand. I didn't get the saw. I was to busy trying to keep the employee from passing out from all of the blood. Arteries have a tendency to bleed bad even with pressure applied. The shop was so afraid I was going to sue them because the rack was a piece of crap and the saws were just balanceing on it, very unsafe.. I told the owner not to worry. I hate people like that. Everyone sues these days for the wrong reasons. I told him that I would like him to change the rack, cover my insurance deductible and lost wages for the day. He gladly obliged and I signed a release for him. No problem. I am just glad my 3 year old son was not with me. That would have been bad.:(
