Found this screw trapped under the muffler, can't seem to find a missing screw anywhere. Any ideas?

If the saw was not new to you- it is a screw that has been misplaced when some previous owner, someone else that worked on the saw- dropped during a strip down and rebuild- they did not see where it fell, so replaced it with another so there is no spare hole.
You are lucky it did not dislodge from its hiding place and fall into the fins of the flywheel at wide open throttle.

Thanks, took it to the shop. They said it was from another saw. (Of course they worked on it last!!) I had to get the muffler off to get it out so it was not going anywhere!

Were the cylinder bolts pointy? I thought they were but it's been a while since I've pulled a top end on one of those saws.
Yep.
Can’t really tell how long they are though. I just figured it was logical being from the cylinder base. Don’t know why someone would leave it there. Maybe it rattled out on its own
