Good afternoon. I have 3 ea Husky 540xp chainsaws and every single one of them spits and sputters and runs like crap when they are cold. Once warm, they are perfect. My question is WHY? are the carbs messed up or is this an autotune thing. I have 550XP's with same issue. Any thoughts?

Try this procedure:

Day one:
-Use E0 fuel, not E10 or E15. And certainly not canned fuel. It is very hard to check freshness. If you absolutly must use canned fuel, only use VP, Echo, Stihl moto mix, and Husky XP.
-With the saw stored and started in the cold environment, Start it any way that you have been, warm it up, then let it idle for 3min and shut off. This will hard code the base idle mixture and speed.

Day two:
-In the same cold environment.
-Apply chain brake.
-Prime per directions.
-Engauge choke per directions.
-Pull until it pops.
-Move choke to off so that the fast idle activates, and pull again until it start.
-Once it starts, and you are in a safe zone disengauge the chain brake and allow engine to fast idle for 20-30 seconds.
-After this, blip the thorttle lever to return the engine to base idle.
