I need a top end kit for a Husky 55

There are several on ebay & I see that Baileys has one.

Can anyone recomend one over the other, or share any experiences they have had.

It looks like most of them are chrome from what I can tell.

Does anyone make a nickasil plated cyl ??

Is the cylinder completely toast? If you can salvage the cylinder, a Meteor piston from Amick's will get you pretty close to OEM. Just my .02, but if it is not salvageable I think any of the P&C kits on Ebay all come from the same place, so buy the one that is the cheapest.

These kits would be coming from Taiwan. They're manufactured by the same folks who do our other kits.
Howdy back attcha Urbicide.

This is our first generation of these kits They are currently chrome plated. Future generations will be NiSi plated. They will eventually have the coated pistons and split groove rings. We feel the the best quality is coming out of Taiwan at this time. Aftermarket kits are coming from all over the world right now. I'm sure we have some ebay sellers buying our kits but, I wouldn't know who.

Thanks for the info.

Any idea when the second generation kits will be available ??

I dont need this saw right now, its just a project.

The Ni si sounds worth the wait.

Out of stock at Baileys:( . If it's like my Husq51 it will be several months.

Quote from Baileys for my 51 "Those are not due in till Mid december."
Maybe GrandeDog will come back with more info.

The December due date is worse case. I'm hoping to be able to do better than that. I should know more next week.
